There IS the typical thumping sound of a big single, but it appears to sound somewhat shy, as if it didnīt want to bother or annoy anybody around. In fact, it isnīt very loud, if that is what you mean. Compared to my Honda XBR 500, which is a thumper too, it is very silent, while the Honda has the loud, powerfull sound of an old British bike.
I did change to a BSM exhaust which was loud, but the sound wasnīt good, so I returned to the stock exhaust.
Starting the engine for the first time may be disappointing for the first moment, but youīll start to like it after a while.
